About Me
Family
My wife, Laura Larrimore ,
is the Communication and Design Specialist at Mann Library and designs most of their publicity
information.
She is also as a reference assistant for the library (so if you need to find obscure
information for your thesis, she's a good person to talk to). In addition to working full-time
at Mann Library, she is currently working towards her master's degree
in Communications at Ithaca College.
My father, Dale Larrimore,
is a personal injury attorney at Larrimore & Farnish, LLP
in Philadelphia, PA. In
addition to practicing law, he is the director of Bar/Bri of Pennsylvania (a bar-exam
review course for aspiring lawyers) and has written several law books including
Pennsylvania Rules of the Road and Pennsylvania Civil Procedure. My mother, Pat
Larrimore is an elder-law attoney at her own firm,
Main Line Elder Law.
My sister,
Lisa Ouellette, and her husband, Nick Ouellette,
are both physicists who received their PhD's from Cornell. Lisa is a third year student at Yale Law School
and Nick works as an Assistant Professor in Yale's Mechanical Engineering department. They also have
a lovely daughter, Alice, who was born in November 2007.
Community Involvement
I greatly enjoy getting involved in my local community. From 2005-2010 I served on the board of directors of my homeowners association. I also served asp president of Cornell's Graduate Student Association for Economics (GSAFE) from 2006-2007.
Prior to graduate school I was heavily involved in several activities as an undergraduate at Davidson College. these include being the business manager of The Davidsonian Student Newspaper, serving as a senator for 2 years on Davidson's Student Government Association, serving as co-president of the Davidson Investment and Finance Association, and serving on the college's Activities Tax Council.
Other Interests
In my spare time I enjoy several athletic activities including golf, soccer, and softball. My intramural softball team won the 2007 summer and 2008 spring and summer softball intramural leagues at Cornell.
I am also an avid college basketball fan and was the manager of Davidson's men's basketball team from 2000-2004 (including their 2002 NCAA-bound team) I try to make a trip to their games whenever Davidson is playing anywhere near Washington.
